Touchback comes to theaters in 2011Emmett/Furla Films and Freedom Films are currently in production on the movie 'Touchback'. Emmett/Furla Films has produced such films as Street Kings, 16 Blocks, Home of the Brave, The Wicker Man, Lonely Hearts, and Rambo (2008). The film stars Kurt Russell and Christine Lahti. The film is about a man who looks back 15 years to the injury that ended his career as a promising high-school football player. Barry Sanders, the former Detroit Lions superstar and Hall of Fame running back, will play the role of the offensive coordinator for the fictional Cuyahoga High School football team.
The 'Touchback' casting directors are seeking people in the Coopersville, Michigan area with a 1995 and earlier model car, van, RV's or pickup trucks to portray tailgaters in the parking lot of a football game. Prize drawings will be held for those bringing the biggest group of extras each night. Be in the stands for football game scenes from 9:00pm - 6:00am the following 4 nights: Thursday Aug 12, Friday Aug 13, Monday Aug 16 and Tuesday Aug 17, 2010.
