Ten years later, his marriage in ruins and his reputation destroyed, Nathan has changed his identity so he can live a simple life on a small island as Rolly DaVore. But when his former boss shows up to renovate his summer mansion, Nathan vows to seek his revenge and drive his nemesis off the island.

Open casting call for Universal Pictures film 'Lone Survivor' starring Mark Wahlberg

Universal Pictures Lone Survivor Open Casting Call

Filming on "Lone Survivor" begins September 18, 2012 in New Mexico.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

Film 44 in association with Weed Road Pictures and Spikings Entertainment are in production on the major feature film "Lone Survivor" based on true events of Operation Red Wings, a joint military operation that took place in the Pech District of Afghanistan's Kunar Province in Late June through Mid-July 2005. There will be an open casting call in New Mexico for men, women, and children who are interested in working as fully paid extras on the film. Shooting starts on September 18, 2012 in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico areas and will continue through mid-November. Over 1,400 extras in New Mexico will be used in the film, in addition to several dozen local actors.

Operation Redwing (as it is called in the book and movie) was aimed at capturing or killing Ahmad Shah, a Taliban leader in Kunar province whose attacks had been taking a heavy toll on Marines operating in eastern Afghanistan. The four Navy SEALs — Lt. Michael Murphy, Sonar Technician 2nd Class Matthew Axelson, Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Danny Dietz and Petty Officer Second Class Marcus Luttrell — were the leading edge of the operation, charged with locating Shah and his forces. Luttrell was the only one of the four men on the mission to survive after a violent clash with dozens of Taliban fighters.

"Lone Survivor" stars two-time Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg as Petty Officer Second Class Marcus Luttrell; X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor Taylor Kitsch portrays Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy; Emile Hirsch, who has recently wrapped filming on "The Motel Life" starring alongside Dakota Fanning and Stephen Dorff, has been cast as Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Danny Dietz; Screen Actors Guild Award winner Ben Foster plays Sonar Technician 2nd Class Matthew Axelson; and The Hunger Games star Alexander Ludwig plays Navy Seal Shane Patton.

Two-time Primetime Emmy Award nominated filmmaker Peter Berg is directing "Lone Survivor" from an adapted screenplay that he wrote himself, based on the non-fiction book "Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of Seal Team 10" written by Marcus Luttrell with assistance from ghostwriter Patrick Robinson. Peter Berg is enjoying an amazing career as actor, writer, producer, and director that has spanned over 24 years. He recently directed the 2012 science-fiction/action film "Battleship," is developing a sequel to "Hancock", and a live-action version of the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars.

In addition to writing and directing "Lone Survivor," Peter Berg is also executive producing under the banner of his production company Film 44, along with his partner Sarah Aubrey. Randall Emmett and George Furla of Emmett/Furla Films will also executive produce. Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster are executive producing for Weed Road Pictures. Academy Award winner Barry Spikings of Spikings Entertainment is serving as the film's producer. Universal Pictures will distribute.

Story:

Four US Navy SEALS departed one clear night in early July 2005 for the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border for a reconnaissance mission. Their task was to document the activity of an al Qaeda leader rumored to be very close to Bin Laden with a small army in a Taliban stronghold. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive. This is the story of the only survivor of Operation Redwing, SEAL fire team leader Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), and the extraordinary firefight that led to the largest loss of life in American Navy SEAL history. His squadmates fought valiantly beside him until he was the only one left alive, blasted by an RPG into a place where his pursuers could not find him. Over the next four days, terribly injured and presumed dead, Luttrell crawled for miles through the mountains and was taken in by sympathetic villagers who risked their lives to keep him safe from surrounding Taliban warriors.

Story:

Season two of "American Horror Story" will center around a 1960's east coast mental asylum, and will not be another ghost story. It is said that the story will be very equally terrifying, but with very different vibe. Just as the house in the first season had a paramagnetic grip like a battery, with negative energy that feeds on trauma and draws things to it, season two involves the energy that's often found in prisons or asylums. Season two of "American Horror Story" is set on the East Coast at an institution for the criminally insane that is run by Jessica Lange's character.
