Paramount Pictures has been seeking extras for the Coen Brothers feature film True Grit. The movie is scheduled to shoot in the Austin area during March, April and May of this year. The company is looking for dependable people who have realistic looks specific to the 1870's and 1900. Paramount is seeking people with natural long hair and unique "character" faces. They need men with facial hair (beards, moustaches, sideburns). They want average to slim body types. (Women will be wearing corsettes and long dresses.)
The casting staff for this movie are most interested in people willing to work more than one day. They want responsible people with flexible schedules. People ten years of age and older are eligible. Those interested should send talent resumes or lists of performance experiences to the following address:

Submissions must include the following: headshot and one-page resume, if they are available. Also, they must include current snapshots of face and body. Contact information must be included. Because this is a period film, natural, current photos with no make-up should be sent. Submissions will not be returned. Age, height, weight, and measurements must be sent. Any scheduling conflicts from 4/23/2010 - 5/26/2010 must be included.
Production Companies:
Do NOT send photos and resumes to the production companies (they will most likely end up in the trash can), they do not cast the films. They hire casting directors who sort through the thousands of submissions and hold the acting auditions.

Mattie leaves home to avenge her father's blood. With the one-eyed Rooster Cogburn, the meanest available U.S. Marshal, by her side, Mattie pursues the homicide into Indian Territory.
