USA hit series 'Royal Pains' casting New York extras for shoots in the Hamptons

USA Network New York Extras Casting Call

Royal Pains has become one of the highest rated shows on cable television.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

The USA Network medical comedy drama television series "Royal Pains" is now in production on it's fourth season, and the extras casting director is hiring New York background performers to work on the hit show. Needed are people available for shoots in Westhampton, NY on April 30, 2012 and Southampton, NY on May 10, 2012. Also needed are people with ultra high-end cars. Both union and non-union applicants will be accepted. Season four of "Royal Pains" premiers on Wednesday, June 6 at 9/8c on USA.

"Royal Pains" centers on a successful New York E.R. doctor (played by Mark Feuerstein) who was dismissed from his job after a wealthy hospital benefactor died in his care. When he saves someone's life during a trip to The Hamptons, he accepts an offer to remain as a "concierge doctor" in the resort community. He usually attends wealthy clientele, but also others in need of care and often without the means to pay.

Andrew Lenchewski and John P. Rogers, both proud graduates of UCLA, created "Royal Pains". They also serve as executive producers and head writers of the show. The series first premiered on June 4, 2009 and was watched by 5.57 million viewers, the highest series premiere for the USA Network since "Psych" in 2006. Shooting takes place at Silvercup Studios in Brooklyn, areas of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as in the Hamptons.

AB Media Publishing, LLC

New Line Cinema, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and WingNut Films are currently in production on J.R.R. Tolkien’s "The Hobbit: There and Back Again". Those interested must be located in the Wellington area and must be available to work with 12-hours notice.

Peter Jackson directed all three "Lord of the Rings" films, which earned a total of 30 Academy Award nominations and 17 Academy Award wins. Jackson is shooting "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" in Digital 3-D, using the latest camera shooting and audio recording technology. The budget for the two Hobbit films is estimated to be between $300 – $500 million. Although principal photography will wrap in June 2012, Peter Jackson has confirmed that some scenes for "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" may be shot sometime during 2013. Filming is taking place at Stone Street Studios sound stages and other locations in and around Wellington, New Zealand.

Pictures has acquired worldwide theatrical distribution rights, with select international territories. MGM will handle all international television licensing. Carolynne Cunningham of Peter Jackson's WingNut Films is producing, along with three time Academy Award winner (and Peter Jackson's wife) Fran Walsh.

The Hobbit, or There and Back Again, better known by its abbreviated title The Hobbit, was first published by independent Australian publishing company Allen & Unwin in 1937. It has been a perennial bestseller since starting life with a very modest 1,500-copy print run. Since then, it has gone on to sell many millions of copies in more than 50 languages, and 2012 is the 75th anniversary year of its publication.

• "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is currently slated to hit theaters 14 December 2012.

• "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" is currently slated to hit theaters 13 December 2013.

Open casting call for 'Pain and Gain' from 'Transformers' director Michael Bay

Extras Open Casting Call Pain and Gain

"Pain and Gain" is based on a true story that took place in Miami in 1994.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

The Paramount Pictures star studded major comedy thriller feature film "Pain and Gain" is beginning production April 6th in Miami, FL and an open casting call is scheduled for all types of people ages 18 and over who are interested in working as extras on the film. The story is based on true events surrounding a group of bodybuilders who engage in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida during 1994. Also needed are vehicles from that era, any color, make or model.

And now Directors Guild of America DGA Award winning filmmaker Michael Bay has done it again. First it was the super sexy Megan Fox lighting up the big screen in Transformers 1 and 2 - later replaced by the intensely seductive Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Transformers 3, and now Bay has cast the astonishingly ravishing treasure Bar Paly. She will play a lead role as Sabrina Petrescu. It can be said with absolute certainty that Micheal Bay has a terrific eye for beauty and talent. Paly is an international supermodel and actress who is from Tel Aviv, Israel and now has the attention of the entertainment industry as well as fans world wide. She has appeared on shows like "CSI: NY," "How I Met Your Mother," and "The Starter Wife". Film credits include DreamWorks "The Ruins," "Stiletto," and Roman Coppola's "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III".

Bay will produce and direct "Pain and Gain" from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Two-time Writers Guild of America WGA Award nominee Scott Rosenberg was brought in to make final script revisions. Rosenberg’s writing credits include "Con Air," "High Fidelity," "Gone in Sixty Seconds," "Impostor," "Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead," "Kangaroo Jack," and the upcoming Michael Bay film "The Hauntrepreneur" starring Russell Brand. "Pain and Gain" is scheduled to hit theaters in 2013.

Also starring in "Pain and Gain" are two-time Academy Award nominated Mark Wahlberg as Daniel Lugo; Teen Choice Award winner and WWE Superstar Wrestler Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson as Adrain Doorbal; four-time Academy Award nominated Ed Harris plays private eye Ed Du Bois; and Golden Globe Award winner Tony Shalhoub portrays Marc Schiller. Dwayne Johnson will next star opposite Liam Hemsworth and Emma Roberts in another true story feature film "Empire State". Auditions and casting information for that film is posted here:

"Empire State" Casting Calls and Auditions

Aside from studio interiors and various locations around Miami, filming for "Pain and Gain" Sun Gym scenes will take place inside and outside of a building at 8000 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. The three-story, 38,937-square-foot office/industrial space has been painted with teal-colored "Sun Gym" logos to the building's eastern and northern facades, while a half-dozen crew members have assembled thousands of dollars worth of 90s era Nautilus weightlifting and exercise machines in the glass-encased top story. The location is also a favorite of Michael Bay's. Ten years ago, he transformed the building into a bank for one of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's Shoot'Em Up scenes in "Bad Boys II".

Story:

"Pain and Gain" centers on the true story of Miami's Sun Gym gang, led by the general manager Daniel Lugo (Mark Wahlberg) and Adrian Doorbal (Dwayne Johnson) in Miami during the mid-90s. In the beginning, they established ten phony medical companies and mailed fraudulent bills to the government for nonexistent medical services, making a fortune in the process. Then the two local bodybuilders developed a penchant for steroids, strippers, and quick cash. And they became expert in the use of a peculiar motivational tool: Torture. They obtained merchandise designed to electrocute, incapacitate, imprison, and eavesdrop. Other members of the Sun Gym gang were Carl Weekes, Stevenson Pierre, corrupt corrections officer John Raimondo, Jorge Delgado, and John Mese. The police could have stopped them before they killed somebody. But they didn't. The gang botched their first kidnapping/torture/murder for extortion by failing to kill their victim, Marc Schiller (Tony Shalhoub), who hires crack private detective Ed Du Bois (Ed Harris) after the Metro-Dade Police do not believe his story. Danny Lugo then lures in a stunning illegal immigrant stripper named Sabina Petrescu (Bar Paly) under the guise of being a C.I.A. agent. She was a 25-year-old Romanian born dancer who'd modeled for Penthouse. Petrescu became lovers with the married Lugo as well as an unsuspecting participant in his next crime. After the disappearance of wealthy couple Frank Griga and Krisztin Furton, the slumbering Metro-Dade Police Department awakens and the Sun Gym gang is in their sights.
