USA hit series 'Royal Pains' casting New York extras for shoots in the Hamptons

USA Network New York Extras Casting Call

Royal Pains has become one of the highest rated shows on cable television.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

The USA Network medical comedy drama television series "Royal Pains" is now in production on it's fourth season, and the extras casting director is hiring New York background performers to work on the hit show. Needed are people available for shoots in Westhampton, NY on April 30, 2012 and Southampton, NY on May 10, 2012. Also needed are people with ultra high-end cars. Both union and non-union applicants will be accepted. Season four of "Royal Pains" premiers on Wednesday, June 6 at 9/8c on USA.

"Royal Pains" centers on a successful New York E.R. doctor (played by Mark Feuerstein) who was dismissed from his job after a wealthy hospital benefactor died in his care. When he saves someone's life during a trip to The Hamptons, he accepts an offer to remain as a "concierge doctor" in the resort community. He usually attends wealthy clientele, but also others in need of care and often without the means to pay.

Andrew Lenchewski and John P. Rogers, both proud graduates of UCLA, created "Royal Pains". They also serve as executive producers and head writers of the show. The series first premiered on June 4, 2009 and was watched by 5.57 million viewers, the highest series premiere for the USA Network since "Psych" in 2006. Shooting takes place at Silvercup Studios in Brooklyn, areas of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as in the Hamptons.

Those interested must be located in the Wellington area and must be available to work with 12-hours notice.

Peter Jackson directed all three "Lord of the Rings" films, which earned a total of 30 Academy Award nominations and 17 Academy Award wins. Jackson is shooting "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" in Digital 3-D, using the latest camera shooting and audio recording technology. The budget for the two Hobbit films is estimated to be between $300 – $500 million. Filming is taking place at Stone Street Studios sound stages and other locations in and around Wellington, New Zealand.

The Hobbit, or There and Back Again, better known by its abbreviated title The Hobbit, was first published by independent Australian publishing company Allen & Unwin in 1937. It has been a perennial bestseller since starting life with a very modest 1,500-copy print run. Since then, it has gone on to sell many millions of copies in more than 50 languages, and 2012 is the 75th anniversary year of its publication.

The adventure follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch). Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage). Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever... Gollum (Andy Serkis). Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities... a simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
