Foster Entertainment and So This Is Christmas, LLC productions is currently filming the Indie feature film "So This is Christmas" in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma and its surrounding areas. The film has cast some of the lead actors in Los Angeles, and some leads and supporting roles in Oklahoma. The extras are being cast in Oklahoma.

"So This is Christmas" is a feature-length motion picture about choices and consequences, starring Oscar-nominated Eric Roberts, Emmy-nominated Lexi Ainsworth, Vivica A. Fox, and Titus Makin of Glee. The film is a story of redemption that follows a teenage girl who turns her empty life around and finds its meaning by giving to others. The story also focuses on the main character’s brother, who hits rock bottom and experiences real grace by reaching out to others. Additionally, it is a Christmas story that will include a comical children's presentation of the traditional story.

The original award-winning screenplay was written by producers Richard and Deborah Foster, and will be directed by Richard Foster as both director and cinematographer. The Fosters’ background includes many years of national and international television commercials, for which they have garnered numerous awards. "So This is Christmas" is utilizing the 35% Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate, so the production is using crew, supporting cast, locations, and many other resources in the state of Oklahoma.

Story:

So This Is Christmas is a film about choices and consequences. Today the Virginia Film Office said locals who attended extras casting calls for "Office Seekers" / the Lincoln film may still get a call-back. So don’t cut or trim your beards, aspiring Richmond celebs, Spielberg & Co, are calling actors as needed. The Virginia Film Office advises that everyone should plan on being on stand-by throughout the fall shoot. Filming is scheduled to run through early December. In short, just because you haven't heard back yet, doesn't mean you won't hear back at all.

Academy Award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg is set to begin production on the highly anticipated major feature film "Lincoln". The extras casting director is seeking adult Caucasian and African American men and women who are located within reasonable driving distance of the Richmond and Petersburg, VA areas to work as extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins for the film's stars. Shooting begins mid-October, 2011.

Three-time Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg will direct the film from a screenplay written by Academy Award nominated Tony Kushner. The adapted screenplay is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin's bestseller "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln," which follows Lincoln's leadership during the years of the American Civil War. While consulting on a Steven Spielberg project in 1999, Kearns-Goodwin told Spielberg she was planning to write "Team of Rivals," and Spielberg immediately told her he wanted the film rights. DreamWorks finalized the deal way back in 2001 and the film has been in development ever since.

Spielberg stated, "We start shooting in October. Doris Kearns Goodwin's book Team Of Rivals is much too big a book to be a movie, so the Lincoln story only takes place in the last few months of his Presidency and life. I was interested in how he ended the war through all the efforts of his generals...but more importantly how he passed the 13th Amendment into constitutional law. The Emancipation Proclamation was a war powers act and could have been struck down by any court after the war ended...But what permanently ended slavery was the very close vote in the House of Representatives over the 13th Amendment - that story I'm excited to tell".

The "Lincoln" cast includes two-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln, and two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln, Golden Globe nominated Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Robert Todd Lincoln, Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones as Thaddeus Stevens, Academy Award nominated Jackie Earle Haley as Alexander Stephens, and two-time Golden Globe Award nominated Lee Pace as Fernando Wood. Liam Neeson was attached to play the role of Abraham Lincoln from the start, but withdrew from the project in 2010, at which point Daniel Day-Lewis agreed to play the role.

Note: "Lincoln" is also using the working title of "Office Seekers". A working title is the temporary name of a film used during its development. Working titles are used primarily for two reasons - the first being that an official title has not yet been decided upon and the working title is being used as a filler for naming purposes, the second being to intentionally disguise the production of a high profile film. In some cases a working title may ultimately be used as the official title. This "title ruse" is now a very common practice by which these high-profile films or television series is given a fake working title to keep its production a secret, and to prevent price gouging by suppliers, casual theft and undesirable attention.

Story:

The thriller feature film "Parker" starring Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham, is seeking more than 200 Miami area locals to work as background extras during three days of shooting at the The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Miami. The scene to be shot is a fundraising event for the very wealthy, supposedly taking place in Palm Beach. The casting agents are in need of “elegant guests” — 100 women and 100 men — as well as others to play catering staff, musicians, security guards, police officers and firemen.

Academy Award winner Taylor Hackford will direct the film from an adapted screenplay written by John J. McLaughlin. The screenplay is based on Donald Westlake’s crime novel “Flashfire". Hackford's producing and/or directorial credits include "An Officer and a Gentleman," "Against All Odds," "White Nights," "La Bamba," "Everybody's All-American," "The Devil's Advocate," "Ray," and "Love Ranch". He is also attached to direct the upcoming Foxxhole Productions 2012 Mike Tyson Biopic starring Jamie Foxx as Mike Tyson.

Sidney Kimmel is producing for Kimmel International, Steve Chasman is producing for Current Entertainment, Les Alexander will produce for Alexander, Enright & Associates, and director Taylor Hackford will co-produce. “Parker” is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2012.

The extras casting director needs to hire over 3,000 background actors to work on the film in the Detroit, Michigan area this Fall, 2011. "Sparkle" stars the beautiful and talented singer-songwriter, model and actress Jordin Sparks. Jordin stars in the lead role of the youngest daughter of three, a music prodigy named Sparkle Williams, and her struggle to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart. Feature film 'Sleeping Around' casting hundreds of extras in Charlotte, NC

"Sleeping Around" is billed as being a comedy "with a hip, funny dialogue… set at a beach house in the Hamptons, immersed in the wacky social world of the rich and playful". The HBO comedy television series "Eastbound & Down" will be needing close to 300 people for Friday, August 26, 2011. They will be shooting in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. People of all ages and types are needed who are local to the Myrtle Beach areas only.

The series tells the story of a burned-out major league ballplayer who returns to teach physical education at his old middle school years after he turned his back on his hometown. While not based on the life of former Major League Baseball relief pitcher John Rocker, the show's creators do cite him as an inspiration.

Producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay received an order for six episodes for the first season from HBO. The series was produced by Will Ferrell's production company, Gary Sanchez Productions. The show premiered February 15, 2009. Its second season, consisting of seven episodes, began on September 26, 2010. On October 27, 2011 HBO announced they were renewing the show for a third and final season. Star and co-creator of "Eastbound & Down" Danny McBride stated, “We never really had an interest in turning the show into anything traditional, we approach each season like it’s one long movie".

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is a thriller film that is the second film based on the Swedish novel of the same name by Stieg Larsson. The first film was the 2009 Swedish-language adaptation. If it performs well, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" will in all likelyhood be the first film in a trilogy with the next two films titled "The Girl Who Played with Fire," and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest". Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara both have options in their contracts to reprise their roles in the next two films.

Steven Zaillian is executive producer for Film Rights, Mikael Wallen and Anni Faurbye Fernandez will executive produce for Yellow Bird Films, and Relativity Media Founder and CEO Ryan Kavanaugh will co-executive produce. Søren Stærmose, who produced the 2009 Swedish version of the film, will produce "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" along with Academy Award winning producer Scott Rudin and Yellow Bird Film's Ole Søndberg.

Story:

Story:

Summit Entertainment open casting call for 'I, Alex Cross' in Cleveland, OH

"I, Alex Cross" is expected to be ready for release in Fall 2012.

Summit Entertainment is set to begin filming 'I, Alex Cross' on August 8th in Cleveland, and then move to Detroit from September, 2011 through October 3rd, 2011. There will be an open casting call on July 23 in Cleveland for featured extras, general background extras, photo doubles, and stand ins for the film's stars. The production is expected to hire more than 1,700 cast members and extras in the Cleveland area.

Directors Guild of America winner Rob Cohen will direct "I, Alex Cross," which is based the novel of the same name by James Patterson. Kerry Williamson wrote the adapted screenplay and Marc Moss rewrote it. QED partners Bill Block and Paul Hanson will produce along with Leopoldo Gout and Steve Bowen, who spearhead Patterson's film endeavors.

Tyler Perry, 41, well known for his "Madea" films and hits such as "Why Did I Get Married?," rarely appears in films that he has not written or directed. Perry will open the Cross stories to future sequels. There are 16 Cross novels by Patterson, and the 17th, "Kill Alex Cross," is slated to be published in November, 2011.

The feature film "Argo," will begin filming in August, 2011 and the extras casting director will be holding an open casting call at the end of July in Los Angeles. They are seeking thousands of Iranian/Persian men and women between the ages of 18-75 years old.

Academy Award winner Ben Affleck will direct "Argo" from an adapted screenplay written by Chris Terrio. The film is based on "How the CIA Used a Fake Sci-Fi Flick to Rescue American from Tehran," an article that Joshuah Bearman wrote in the April 2007 issue of Wired magazine. Affleck will also star in the movie, playing the role of Tony Mendez, the real-life CIA operative who came up with the idea of an elaborate ruse the CIA ran during the Iran hostage crisis.

George Clooney and Grant Heslov's production company, Smoke House, is producing along with David Klawans. Nina Wolarsky will executive produce for Smoke House. Chay Carter, who has worked as Ben Affleck's assistant on several films, will co-executive produce.

Under those disguises, they were able to flee the country. Alan Arkin will play Hollywood producer Lester Siegel, an O.S.S. veteran described as equal parts bookie and rabbi. Two-time Academy Award nominee Lee Daniels will direct "The Paperboy" from an adapted screenplay that he wrote himself. The upcoming Sony Pictures feature film "I Hate You, Dad" is holding open casting calls in the Massachusetts cities of Boston and Hyannis Port. The film's extras casting directors are seeking thousands of people to work as general background extras. There will also be some small speaking roles being cast. All ages and types are needed.

The films stars include Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, James Caan, Vanilla Ice and Leighton Meester. The picture is about a cantankerous father who moves in with his son and his son's gold-digger fiancee just before the son is to get married. The father and fiancee quickly become terribly embroiled in conflict.

Sean Anders and John Morris are directing from a script originally written by TV comedy writer David Caspe, who recently signed a two year production deal with Sony Pictures Television. Caspe is creator/head writer on the upcoming Sony Pictures Television TV series "Happy Endings," which premiers April 13, 2011 on ABC. "Wanderlust" writers David Wain and Ken Marino were brought in to rewrite the "I Hate You, Dad" script.

Adam Sandler, Heather Parry, and Jack Giarraputo will produce under the banner of their company Happy Madison Productions. The company's production office is located in the Judy Garland building on the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City, CA, Barry Bernardi and director John Morris will executive produce.

Story:

Story:

21 Jump Street is the headquarters for a squad of police officers who specialize in investigations relating to young people. Each of the Jump Street personnel was selected for their ability to pass for high school or college students, allowing them to operate undercover in areas where it is difficult for regular police officers to blend in unnoticed. Orlando Bloom joins J.R.R. Tolkien’s 'The Hobbit' as extras casting continues

MGM, New Line Cinema, and WingNut Films are currently in production on J.R.R. Tolkien’s "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "The Hobbit: There and Back Again". The film's extras casting directors are hiring general background actors, photo doubles, and stand-ins for the film's stars throughout filming, which will continue into late spring, 2012. Some smaller speaking roles will also be cast during the shoot as script changes occur.

Principal actor casting news continues to come in, as Peter Jackson announced on May 26, 2011 that Orlando Bloom, who portrayed Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings trilogy", is the newest actor to be cast in "The Hobbit" films. Peter Jackson posted on his Facebook page, "Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas, and I am excited to announce today that we’ll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more". Bloom's character does not appear in the book version of The Hobbit, however this is very common in differences between adapted screenplays written based on novels.

Peter Jackson directed all three “Lord of the Rings” films, which earned a total of 30 Academy Award nominations and 17 Academy Awards. Jackson is shooting "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" back-to-back in Digital 3-D, using the latest camera and stereo technology. The budget for "The Hobbit" is estimated to be between $300 – $500 million.

Carolynne Cunningham of Peter Jackson's WingNut Films will produce the film along with three time Academy Award winner (and Peter Jackson's wife) Fran Walsh. "The Hobbit" films are also being co-produced by New Line Cinema and MGM, with New Line handling production management. Warner Bros Pictures has acquired worldwide theatrical distribution rights, with select international territories. MGM will handle all international television licensing.

• "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is currently slated to hit theaters December 14, 2012.

• "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" is currently slated to hit theaters December 13, 2013.

Story:

The adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s "The Hobbit" will be made into two live action films. Bilbo Baggins was a hobbit who wanted to be left alone in quiet comfort. "The Amazing Spider-Man," now in the New York phase of production, is seeking SAG members to work as stand-ins for the film's starring actors. "The Amazing Spider-Man" is being shot entirely in 3D. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Embeth Davidtz, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field.

The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
