Columbia Pictures 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' casting highly featured extras

Filming on "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" began in Stockholm, Sweden in September 2010.

Filming is currently taking place in Los Angeles on the Columbia Pictures feature film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". The extras casting director is currently casting several very featured background artist roles, including Swedish, Spanish, and European looking types. Also sought is a very good long haired guitar player. This is for Los Angeles area talent only, no exceptions.

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is a thriller film that is the second film based on the Swedish novel of the same name by Stieg Larsson. The first film was the 2009 Swedish-language adaptation. Two-time Academy Award nominated David Fincher is directing from an adapted screenplay written by Academy Award winning writer Steven Zaillian.

If it performs well, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" will in all likelyhood be the first film in a trilogy with the next two films titled "The Girl Who Played with Fire," and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest". Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara both have options in their contracts to reprise their roles in the next two films.

Steven Zaillian is executive producer for Film Rights, Mikael Wallen and Anni Faurbye Fernandez will executive produce for Yellow Bird Films, and Relativity Media Founder and CEO Ryan Kavanaugh will co-executive produce. Søren Stærmose, who produced the 2009 Swedish version of the film, will produce "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" along with Academy Award winning producer Scott Rudin and Yellow Bird Film's Ole Søndberg.

Story:

Harriet Vanger (Moa Garpendal), a scion of one of Sweden's wealthiest families disappeared over forty years ago. Production is underway in Miami, Florida on the Starz Originals series, Magic City. The extras casting director for the show is holding an open casting call seeking Miami area locals to work as paid background artists. These are for core extras that will work 3 - 4 days per episode through the end of production on November 9, 2011. Principal actors are being cast in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, and the extras are cast in Maimi.

In the 10-episode drama, set to debut exclusively on Starz in 2012, Jeffrey Dean Morgan portrays Ike Evans, the cool, visionary force behind Miami Beach’s newest hotel and a man with dangerous secrets. Olga Kurylenko plays Ike’s wife Vera, a former showgirl who is deeply loyal to her husband and family, and Danny Huston as Ben Diamond, Miami’s most dangerous mobster. Producer Mitch Glazer's wife Kelly Lynch also stars in the series playing the role of Meg.

Magic City was conceived by writer-director-producer-Mitch Glazer, who grew up in the glamorous, ominous world of late ‘50’s Miami Beach. He serves as Executive Producer on the project along with Media Talent Group, with CEO, Geyer Kosinski, Co-Executive Producer Ed Bianchi and Producer Dwayne Shattuck.

Story:
