Universal Pictures romantic comedy 'Five-Year Engagement' casting calls

The Universal Pictures feature film "Five-Year Engagement" is now in production in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area and the extras casting director is seeking local people of all ages and types including children to work as background performers, stand-ins, and photo doubles. Filming begins April 25, 2011 and will continue through early June, at which point the production will move to San Fransisco for the remainder of the shoot.

Nicholas Stoller will direct "Five-Year Engagement" from a script that he wrote with Jason Segel. Stoller's other two directorial credits are "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," and "Get Him to the Greek". His writing credits are "Fun with Dick and Jane," "Yes Man," "Get Him to the Greek," "Gulliver's Travels," and the recently wrapped "The Muppets".

Judd Apatow will produce under the banner of his company Apatow Productions, with Sara Scott and Rodney Rothman co-producing. Universal Pictures has acquired distribution rights to the film and will also produce. This will be the third collaboration between Judd Apatow, Nicholas Stoller, and Jason Segel.

"Five-Year Engagement" is the first production approved by Michigan under its new 2011 policy and guidelines for film incentives. Shooting will take place at University of Michigan as well as other various locations in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan.

All ages and types are needed, however here are some specific needs:

• Infant, must be 15 days to 3 months old on May 3rd, 2011. Caucasian. They will consider both boys and girls, but the infant will be wearing pink in the movie to reflect a girl infant. Infant and parent must be available on May 4th, 2011.

• Boys, 8-14. Hasidic Jews with payes -curls in front of their ears. Must be able to play Hackey Sack. Boys and parent or legal guardian must be available on Wednesday May 11, 2011.

Story:

A bawdy, couples comedy, charts the five-year engagement of Tom (Jason Segel) and his fiancee Violet (Emily Blunt), following the ups and downs of their relationship. Brie plays Suzie, Violet's sister who begins dating Alex (Chris Pratt) after they sleep together during the engagement party. Ifans plays Professor Winston Barnes, Violet's boss who is more cultured and intellectual than Tom. He begins dating Violet when her and Tom break up, but Violet discovers that he's closer to his ex-wife and family than she could ever be.
