Feature Film 'What's Wrong With Virginia' seeing extras in South Haven, Michigan

TickTock Studios extra casting directors are seeking numerous background actors of all ages, types and sized to work on a feature film Monday, October 26, 2009. The movie extras are needed to create a crowd for a beach boardwalk scene for the film 'What’s Wrong With Virginia' starring Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Emma Roberts, Amy Madigan and Harrison Gilbertson.

The film is written and directed by Dustin Lance Black, the Academy Award-Winning screenwriter of "Milk," and is being produced by TicTock Studios of Holland.

Rather than using a limited number of movie extras for this scene, the opportunity is open to anyone interested in participating. Filming will take place on October 26 in South Haven, Michigan, weather permitting.

Robert Redford Film 'The Conspirator' still needs extras through December, 2009

The feature film 'The Conspirator,' directed by acclaimed actor and director Robert Redford, is still conducting extra casting for filming set to begin in late-October and continuing into December. The extra casting department is still seeking men and women of all ages and types, but there is a specific need for the following movie extras:

● Women sizes 0-4­ with no obvious highlighted or frosted hair.

● Men of all types, ages 18-70, particularly those with facial hair and/or slight builds.

● Historical re-enactor types of all ages.

● Any men who have already applied to be extras are encouraged to continue letting their hair grow in length as well as growing facial hair.

HBO Open Casting Call in Nova Scotia for new series 'Meet Phil Fitz'


The extra casting directors of a new HBO series titled 'Meet Phil Fitz' are holding an open casting call for background actors in Nova Scotia, Canada. There will be 13 weeks of shooting through mid-January and many TV extras are needed. Filming will take place entirely in and around the town of New Minas, just outside of the Kentville area. All ages and types of TV extras are needed. Both ACTRA and non-union TV etras are being considered. The series will air on HBO, Movie Network, and Movie Central, is 2010.

In addition, due to the number of workers (actors, film crew, and so on) who will be converging on the area, MPF Productions is looking for rented rooms and apartments for them to live while the shooting is going on. They have set up a Rental Hot Line (300-9387) for anyone who might have a room or an apartment to rent.”

Anyone interested in the TV extras casting call is asked to bring along a recent photo (snapshot in fine) of themselves that can be kept on file. There is no need to call ahead or book an appointment, just show up with your picture in hand.

Story:

Set against the backdrop of a family-owned car dealership, the series focuses on the exploits of Phil Fitz who, after he botches a test drive and puts a customer in a coma, finds himself faced with a new salesman on the lot. A do-gooder named Larry who claims to be Phil’s conscience.

New ABC series casting featured extras in the Dallas, TX area

The extra casting department for a new ABC television series 'The Deep End', starring Billy Zane, will be casting 20 regular television extras to appear in the background of each episode. The series will film through mid-November, 2009. This show is under AFTRA contract, however both AFTRA and non-union people are being considered. The series was formerly called 'David Hemingson Legal project' and 'The Associates.'

Some of the regular television extras will be aged 25-35, very pretty-handsome, Harvard/Yale types and a sprinkle of 35-40 professional/distinguished types. They will all play lawyers.

They will be selected by the extra casting director also producer Garry Brown as regular featured television extras and work 5-6 days of each episode. The pay will be $58 over 8 hours and time and a half for over-time.

They will also be casting stand-ins ($105 over 12 hours) and featured individual types ($105) as well.
